Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take commissions?
Yes! Due to time restraints, I am only able to accept commission requests at this time for designs already completed in the Adopted Family Series and The Dinosaur Collection. I'd be more than happy to complete one in any size and color combination you'd like. Email me at hopethier@gmail.com with the following information and I will happily send you a quote.
- Size specification. Common sizes include 10"x10", 12"x12", 11"x14", 16"x20", 18"x24", 24"x36", 36"x48", and 48"x60".
- Colors you'd like included. Backgrounds are abstract.
- Design you'd like. Examples: T-Rex with Flowers, Happy-Go-Lucky Tipsy Velociraptor with Beer, Stegosaurus with a Bug, Octopus with Two Women, Two-Headed Girl with a Bird, Three Raccoon Women with Child. Those are just to name a few.
For works at or smaller than 11"x14", I will email a completed photo of the work along with an invoice for the amount and shipping to be paid in full. Work will be shipped when payment is completed.
For works larger than 11"x14", an invoice for the deposit (50% of the total) will be sent. Once this has been paid, the work will be completed, and shipping will be billed with final invoice.
I'm a shop owner & would love to sell your products. Is this possible?
I would love to work with you! Please email me at hopethier@gmail.com.
What supplies do you use when you say "mixed media"?
I use acrylic paints, spray paint, oil and chalk pastels, india ink, archival tracing paper, stencils, sand, and sometimes found objects.
Do you work with interior designers?
Most definitely! Send an email my way. I'd be happy to hear from you!
Can you let me know when you have new work available?
Yes! Please subscribe to my Newsletter & Updates (enter your email at the bottom of this page), and follow me on Instragram @hopethier. If you see a painting that you love on Instagram, but is isn't listed in my shop, please email me for size and pricing info.
Do you donate your work to silent auctions and charities for fundraising?
I do! I would love to be able to say yes to everyone, however, due to demands that is not the case. Please email me if you have a fundraiser coming up, and I will see what I can do.
Would I need to frame my painting?
Yes and no. The wood cradled panels and gallery stretched canvases create their own frame with a 1-4" depth. They can be hung without a frame, and look complete that way. However, you are more than welcome to frame it if you prefer.
If it is a work on paper, it is recommended to frame it, but not necessary
Do you deliver in the Midwest area?
Yes, and this is a definite possibility if the paintings are large. Please email me ahead of time if that is something you are interested in.
Are the paintings wired and ready to hang?
Paintings are signed, dated, wired and ready to hang on your walls for easy installation. Some smaller paintings may come without a wire, because it is not necessary for installation. They are light enough to hang without one. Works on paper are also signed and dated, come in a clear bag, and it is recommended to have those framed.
